This is a list of great places I've been to, or from reliable sources, I've been told to go visit. I limit my recommendations for food from people I truly trust are foodie type people, take it for what it's worth and you may or may not like it.
INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS
AMS (Amsterdam)- The night watch, Bike to Broek in Waterland, Cafe de Paris, Cafe 't Sluisje (drinks), Sky Lounge (top of Double Tree), Dubbel (ribs), Haesje claes restaurant (Dutch food), Humphrey's, Arendsnest, Que mas wine (dirk store), the brouwerij't ij, de zotte (beer), beer king
ATH (Athens, Greece)- Istioploikos (bar overlooking harbor, take cab)
BCN (Barcelona, Spain)- Rioja Wine, La Fonda Restaurant (check for seating times in advance), Ciudad condal Cerveceria, Bar Celta Pulperia (best octopus tapas!), From layover hotel, walk towards the beach for great drinks on the beach
BRU (Brussels, Belgium)- Sheleon for mussels, Visit Brugge and find Dumon & Confiserie de Clerck for chocolate, Brussels-Galler for Chocolate,
CDG (Paris)- Pramil Restaurant, Mont Martre Sacre Coeur Church, Gregorian chants at Norte Dame, Catecombs, Go up in Norte Dame Tower (cost is 8 euro), Indiana Cafe (happy hour), Eat Tartiflette at the Market, Creperie de Josselin (crepes), All wine is good in Paris, Andy Whaloo (great drinks, more expensive, but worth it!), Frog and Princess (good craft beer selection, great happy hour), La Jacobine (restaurant), Foundation Cafe (great coffee), la cave a bulles (beer tasting), maisin landimaine for pastries and macroons, restaurant Fish, taste wine at le derniere goute, go to Normandy and then Mont St. Michel, Falstaff (good Belgium Beer selection), La Cuisine De Phillipe (reservations needed)
DUB (Dublin, Ireland)- Train to Howth to Hike, Oarhouse Restaurant in Howth (Best seafood!), Brazen Head Pub (oldest), Temple Bar (touristy, crowded, but fun), Have Baby Guiness shot & Bulmer's Cider Beer, Buy 3FE coffee beans (in DUB) & Coole Swan (in airport), Sandmans free walking tour, Visit Book of Kells, Breakfast at Brick Alley Cafe, Tour Jameson Whiskey, Visit Bray, Porter House, Hardware Mary's Queen of Tarts, Dalkey (small village town)
DUS (Dusseldorf, Germany)- Colonge Sauna-Claudius Therme, or Wellneuss (close to hotel), buy Landliebe yoghurt, Visit Colonge Christmas Market, Look up indoor skiing
FCO (Rome, Italy)- St. Mary's for English Mass (just to right of St. Peters), Olympio for Drinks, Campo de' Fiori (market and 100 yr old Bakery), Scala Sancta (Martin Luther), Caffe Tazza d'oro (Coffee), Su & Giu (amazing food), Gelateria dei Gracchi, Enoteca Costantini (wine bar)
GIG (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)- Run Copacabana Beach, Visit Forte Duque de Caxis (cost is maybe $1 US) and you walk up a trail to this Fort overlooking Copacabana Beach and you get a great view of Sugar loaf and see monkeys on the trail
GRU (Sao Paulo, Brazil)- Brunch/breakfast at Urbe Cafe
LHR (London, England)- Gordon's Wine Bar, Visit Churchill War Rooms, Evensong or worship at Westminster Abbey, buy Maltesers, Thortons toffee; Bendicks Mints, Swim at Park Road Lido Pool, Priemark (like walmart), Marks and Spencers (like Whole Foods), Vineopolis, go to Churchill Arms (pub and best Thai is next to there), Borough Market (great street food vendors), Cloisters in Salisbury, Anchor bar bankside, aspall cyder, angel highstreet
LIM (Lima, Peru)- Massage at Bella Visage, Shop at local artesian Market
MAD (Madrid, Spain)- Bike tour is great, Restaurants to check out: Los Rotos, Le CoCo, La Mucca, Cocina del Desierto (morrocan), Botin (oltest restaurant), Casa Lucio, Go to Casa de Campo for road bike (take cable car there), Flamenco corral de la moreria, tower in plaza de la villa calle for view, la torre del oro, retiro park (boats), Look up sheep running in madrid (happens once per year), visit Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, Prado Museum, Mushroom Bar, El Tigre, and grocery store Sanchez Romero
MUC (Munich)- Dachau concentration camp, Train to Hersching and then leisure 3 mile hike (or take bus) to Andechs (monestery where they brew beer and have a nice beer garden)
ROR (Koror, Palau)- Sam's Tours for snorkeling, Kayaking and Diving, Jelly Fish lake tour
SNN (Shannon, Ireland)- Nancy Blake's Pub in Limerick
SPN (Saipan)- Besides the beach, there is a lot of WWII history. Visit Grotto, Suicide Cliff, Bonsai Cliff, Forbidden Island, Ladder Beach, Last Command post near the Grotto, Managha Island for snorkeling, Mt. Tapaicjao is the highest point, Java Coffee

ANC (Anchorage)- Eat breakfast/brunch at Snow City Cafe, Rent a bike/Tony Knowles trail, Hike Flat Top, Dino's Donuts, Mooses Tooth Pizza
ATL (Atlanta)- Eat at Bamboo Gardens (Indian/Chinese), Tuk Tuk Thai, Hoboken cafe, mf sushi, umi sushi, Painted Pin (Bowling)--before bowling (tues-fri) go to Luna (1/2 off tapas), Jeju Spa, Eat at Gu's, Fat Matts, Rusans (near crash pad), Taylor's Art (same day dry clean)
CAK- (Canton, Ohio)- Branin Natortorium to swim
CLT (Charlotte)- Eat at Johnson and Wales (culinary School)
